Ok, let’s go and get started..
Marathon training doesn’t start till next week so this week I will do splits (4/5 km morning, 4/5 km at night) and see how the Achilles goes.
Hard week last week with bugger all running but done and dusted.
Achilles feeling better but still the odd twinge.
Weirdly though, more often when walking NOT running.
So lets look at Feb round-up.
Friday I went and did 20 minutes rowing and weights for an hour.
Saturday I had the day off.
Yesterday I went on a Tiki Tour to Hamilton, Karakaraiki, Raglan, Ocean Beach, Bridal falls and Kawhia and home!
12 hour journey with beach running, sand running, running up dunes(hard on thighs) few bush walks, a few uphill treks (hard on butt), a few leisurely walks etc…
This weeks running tally 3 split runs 1 x 5 km 1 x 2.5 km.
1 x SPIN CLASS!!
7 weights sessions
7 yoga sun salutes
18 km rowing (4 sessions)
3 sort of stretching sessions.
Much better variation for February so lets keep it up for march!!
Still not decided on the new plan stan Marathon plan as such.
Haven’t altered the old one yet.
Little disappointed re running as my aim once again was 130-140km for the month.
I would have reached it, had we not taken it easy running wise in the last 8-9 days.
